Regarding project management, In his own words, “One of the most challenging and rewarding projects I ever managed was to lead a 21-day rafting expedition down the Grand Canyon.  I had to organize this group of 16 strangers who were geographically dispersed from Florida to Washington and even the UK.  Plan meals, acquire the supplies and equipment, establish work crews, plan the itinerary, coordinate the logistics of getting to and from the river and once on the river, be the captain to bring this group together as a team to deal with the hazards and dangers of such an expedition without professional guides and manage the group dynamics of such a diverse group living in such close contact for so long a time.  It makes a 30,000 user mail migration seem trivial.”
